Shivapuri Conserva tion Area Shivapuri conservation area is a government protected area located in the northern part of Kathmandu valley having an area of 159 sq.km  including  districts of Kathmandu, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk. It is the second highest hill around kathmandu with a maximum altitude of 2563 m. Hike can be started from Budanilkantha.
